Today, I engaged in an old Scottish tradition:
making sure the house is clean at the start of a new year.
Also, I've been playing with a new arrangement for this 'blog o'mine, but I'm not sure how it's going to look for various people's screen resolutions. I don't like how narrow all the other prescribed layouts are, but I may have made this too wide for some people. Comments invited.

the layout has changed since the afternoon. i like it. easier to read.
is the "i am number 2, you are number ..." a reference to the old tv show, the prisoner? i loved that show.

Yes, it's been a year, and you've been my most consistent commenter, for which I thank you. I know there's a hit counter off to the side, but about four times a day I come in here hoping to see comments and most of the time I'm disappointed.
But you're here and you don't mind leaving comments, which I love. And it's very cool that you recognized the Prisoner reference.

this is the only blog i leave comments. it's always interesting.
as to the Prisoner, i watched the show on a san francisco tv station. after each show, there would be a discussion by 3 or more pyschologists trying to explain/interpret the episode. i wonder if it's on a dvd? better check netflix.
a year ago, you were writing about your quarterly self assessment, living with friends, no job, and not sure what 2008 was going to bring you. your life has changed in the last year. i hope it continues to change for the good in 2009.
